I was born and raised on a 350-acre ranch in Northwestern Montana, where I learned early the value of hard work, honesty, and independence. After earning a business degree from Carroll College in 1991, I worked in insurance before returning to the Pacific Northwest to follow my passion for the outdoors.

In 1993, I founded Kaz Logging Inc., later renamed Advantage Tree and Forest, Inc., to reflect our broader focus on sustainable forestry and fire prevention. For over 35 years, we’ve specialized in everything from full-scale logging and forest thinning to hazard tree and brush removal, view creation, and defensible space development.
